Origins & Natural Materials | Tomar Creation
From Italian leather to soft merino wool — explore how Tomar Creation selects natural materials for sustainable barefoot footwear.
The Origins & Natural Materials of Our Barefoot Footwear
At Tomar Creation, every pair begins with a thoughtful material selection, chosen for comfort, longevity and eco-consciousness.
Italian & Vegetable-Tanned Leather
We use premium Italian mineral-tanned leather, produced in Italy under strict European environmental guidelines – supple, durable and refined. We also offer German vegetable-tanned leather (NATURLEDER certified), tanned without heavy metals and providing an eco-friendly, high-end alternative.
Merino Wool
Merino wool is a natural ultra-fine fibre offering natural insulation, softness and breathability. It keeps feet warm in cold seasons and comfortable in milder ones.
Natural Soles & Options
For our soles we provide several options tailored to your activity style:
- Suede leather sole – flexible and grippy, ideal for indoor use.
- 1 mm leather croupon sole – ultra-thin for genuine barefoot ground sensation.
- Rubber soles (2-6 mm) or 5 mm Vibram – for outdoor use, combining grip and flexibility.
- Epur biodegradable sole – engineered to naturally decompose over 10-15 years, without adhesives, using cotton threads.
Lining & Insulation
Our lining choices are tailored for comfort: lambswool, fleece or no lining for lighter feel. We also offer insulated insoles in vegetable-tanned leather, merino wool, lambskin or fleece – ideal for transitional or cold seasons.
All materials are sourced within Europe, benefit from full traceability and are selected for performance and minimal environmental impact. Choosing Tomar Creation means selecting footwear designed for natural movement, comfort and conscious living.
